New Delhi: India’s largest public sector lender, State Bank of India (SBI), has developed comprehensive digital security guidelines for customers. The guidelines cover what customers should and shouldn’t do to ensure their digital transactions are safe and secure.

1. Always look for “https” in the bank’s website address bar

2. Avoid online banking in public places using open Wi-Fi networks

3. Always log out and close the browser when you are done with your work.

SBI also has 4 important login security guidelines. These are

1. Try to use unique and complex passwords

2. Remember to change your password frequently

3. Never share, store or write down your username, passwords or PIN

4. Remember the bank never asks you for your User ID/Passwords/Card Number/PIN/Passwords/CVV/OTP

5. Disable the ‘Auto Save’ or ‘Remember’ feature on your device to avoid storing user ID and passwords.
