Private sector lender ICICI Bank has announced that it is now making it easier to pay customs duties online, benefiting both retail and business customers. Business customers can pay customs duty through the bank’s corporate internet banking (CIB) and InstaBIZ mobile banking app, while retail customers can do so through the bank’s retail internet banking platform. .
Customers can make payment online by selecting ICICI Bank from the list of banks on the Indian Customs Electronic Gateway (ICEGATE) website, it said in a statement.
“This facility enables millions of ICICI Bank customers to easily pay customs duties digitally through the ICEGATE website. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday approved Anup Bagchi’s reappointment as executive director of ICICI bank for three years, even though the bank had authorized the five-year term.
“The Reserve Bank, in its letter dated January 6, 2022, approved the reappointment of Anup Bagchi as executive director of the bank for three years from February 1, 2022,” ICICI Bank said in a regulatory filing . yesterday.
The bank’s shareholders at its annual general meeting in August last year approved Bagchi’s reappointment for five years from February 1, 2022.
